Monica is an associate at BHPK focusing her practice on general civil litigation.

Over the years, Monica has dedicated her practice to civil litigation representing clients in all phases of litigation. She also has substantial experience in evaluating insurance coverage issues and litigating coverage disputes. Prior to joining the firm, Monica worked as an attorney at a highly respected multi-state civil defense firm. Monica has been trusted to represent a variety of clients, including commercial businesses, insurance companies, brokers, construction companies, architects, engineers, directors and officers, elected officials, fiduciaries, medical professionals, and lawyers. Monica has represented clients in hundreds of civil cases from inception to resolution. Through motion practice, Monica has obtained significant court orders dismissing claims asserted against her clients and providing her clients with satisfactory judgments. She also has considerable trial experience and has obtained several favorable jury verdicts for her clients.

Monica is a graduate of the University of South Carolina School of Law, where she received multiple Moot Court and Trial Advocacy championship titles and awards, including among others, the Justice Lewis F. Powell Medal for Excellence in Advocacy by the American College of Trial Lawyers. Upon graduating, Monica served multiple years as an alumni coach helping future attorneys build practical experiences and skills. She regularly volunteers her time to judge advocacy competitions for future lawyers.
