Crystal Huff is an associate at BHPK. She is an accomplished civil litigator with extensive experience representing municipalities. Crystal focuses her practice on defending public employers and public entities in complex civil rights and discrimination cases before state and federal courts.
Prior to joining BHPK, Crystal served as Town Solicitor for the Town of Braintree, representing the Town in litigation before administrative agencies, state and federal courts, as well as courts of appeal in matters of labor and employment law, land use and environmental law, construction law, election law, permitting and contractual disputes. She also provided comprehensive legal counsel to the Mayor, municipal departments, boards, and the Town Council.
Previously, Crystal practiced union side labor representation and had a niche land use and environmental law practice. Additionally, she gained valuable experience as a Judicial Law Clerk for the Honorable Harry M. Grossman (ret.) at the Massachusetts Land Court.
Crystal earned her Juris Doctor from Suffolk University Law School, graduating cum laude in May 2011 and holds a Bachelor of Arts in History (magna cum laude) from Seton Hall University. She is admitted to the Massachusetts State Bar, the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for both the First Circuit and the D.C. Circuit.
Active in her community, Crystal serves as Chair of the Town of Hingham Conservation Commission and is an elected member of the Hingham Democratic Town Committee. She also serves as the Deputy Parliamentarian for the Massachusetts Democratic Party and is a member of the Colonel Thomas Lothrop - Old Colony Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution. She is a dedicated member of various professional associations, including the Real Estate Bar Association and the Massachusetts Municipal Lawyer’s Association.
