Erica L. Brody is an associate at Brody Hardoon Perkins & Kesten. She joined the firm in 2017 after beginning her law career as a prosecutor at the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office. Attorney Brody specializes in the representation of women, particularly female victims of sexual harassment and gender discrimination in the workplace, schools, and in public accommodations. She also has extensive experience working with female survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence, and with child survivors of abuse and neglect, both in the home and school setting. Attorney Brody is a champion of women's rights and the #metoo movement, and has dedicated herself to such meaningful projects aimed at helping advance the cause of women's rights in the workplace, such as The Cherie Blair Foundation for Women, an organization dedicated to helping women around the world establish and grow businesses. Finally, Attorney Brody has extensive experience working with survivors of human trafficking and sexual exploitation.

Prior Experience

Prior to joining BHPK, Attorney Brody worked as an assistant district attorney for the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office, where she investigated and prosecuted hundreds of felonies, including crimes of rape, sexual assault, civil rights violations, and restraining order violations. Attorney Brody has appeared in the Superior, Juvenile, and District Courts and has tried a number of jury trials. At BHPK, Attorney Brody represents female victims of discrimination and harassment, as well as victims of sexual assault. Presently, she represents the victim of sexual harassment in the workplace in a high profile federal lawsuit. Attorney Brody's experience at the DA's office working with victims of sex crimes has translated into a compassionate, empathetic, and zealous quest for justice in the civil sphere for victims of sexual harassment and assault.

Education

Attorney Brody graduated magna cum laude and with highest honors from Tufts University. In 2011, she received her law degree from Boston College Law School, where she was the managing editor of the Law and Religion Program. In addition, she studied abroad at the King's College School of Law in England, where she worked for Cherie Blair in her human rights practice group at Matrix Chambers and at her foundation. Following her graduation from law school, Ms. Brody spent a year clerking for the Massachusetts Superior Court Justices.

Professional and Community Affiliation

Attorney Brody is a member of the bar in Massachusetts and the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts. She belongs to the Frank J. Murray Section of the American Inn of Court and is also a Member of the Friends of the Public Garden.
